WorkKeys®
WorkKeys® is a job skill assessment system measuring “real world” skills that employers believe are critical to job success. These skills are valuable for any occupation and at any level of education.  When you use WorkKeys® to show you are ready to work, you have an advantage with employers who accept or require job applicants to have WorkKeys®. A growing number of states are also adopting WorkKeys® to ensure that all their workers have needed skills and prove they have a skilled Workforce.

WorkKeys® test takers earn a score from 1-7 in the following areas:

  • Locating Information
  • Reading for Information
  • Applied Technology
  • Business Writing
  • Listening
  • Teamwork

Worldwide Interactive Network (WIN)®
The WIN is an online software program that allow users to prepare for the WorkKeys® test.  It enables users to work at their own pace to increase their skill level prior to taking the WorkKeys® assessment.

National Career Readiness Certificates(NCRC)®
The National Career Readiness Certificate® verifies to employers anywhere in the United States that an individual has essential core employability skills in Applied Mathematics, Locating Information and Reading for Information.

WorkKeys® test-takers can earn the following levels of certification:

 WorkKeys Logo

Platinum:

A score of at least 6 in all of the three core areas.  Those who earn this level of certification have skills qualifying for 99% of the jobs in ACT’s occupational database.
 WorkKeys Logo

Gold:

A score of at least 5 in all of the three core areas.  Those who earn this level of certification have skills qualifying for 93% of the jobs in ACT’s occupational database.

Silver:

A score of at least 4 in all of the three core areas.  Those who earn this level of certification have skills qualifying for 67% of the jobs in ACT’s occupational database.

Bronze:

A score of at least 3 in all of the three core areas.  Those who earn this level of certification have skills qualifying for 16% of the jobs in ACT’s occupational database.
